Aunty Guenny Comes to Visit… Why?
Today Mom & Pop went crazy cleaning up the house, putting away the Christmas tree, and packing all of the fancy clothes into funny bags. And just when things couldn’t get weirder, Aunty Guenny came over and told me that our union boss, Zoe, said I was being too lazy. I mean really! Genna does enough for both of us, right? Why should I do more than eat, poop, and sleep? That Zoe is is a real taskmaster…
That Chad… what does he know, anyways? Cousin Zoe is the bestest Kitteh I know! LOL As if! Everyone knows that *I’m* the cleanest kitten around! Aunty Guenny says Zoe needs to work harder at her cello Concertos so that her butt doesn’t smell so much. But Chad has a point… what is Aunty Guenny doing here, anyways? She and Mother aren’t playing with paper and pictures or playing games with Father, either. Hmmmm

Aunty Guenny came back!

Phew! For a little while there, Genna and I thought we were gonna starve to death! I mean holy cow, man… it was like 6:45 pm before Aunty Guenny *finally* came over. She had some nerve to blame traffic on Rte 22 but I think it had more to do with her foolish stop at the Target in Bridgewater for something called Fleece Pajamas. I left the package inspection to Genna – she’s better at it anyways. I’m gonna keep busyby knocking over all the stuff Mom put on the coffee table yesterday. Or maybe, just maybe, I’ll hop up onto the dinner table a couple of times to see what Aunty Guenny will do. What I do know is that when I do the figure 8 around her legs, she gives me treats. I might just like her after all…
Oh Chad… quit complaining! You’ve got enough extra on you that you won’t ever starve to death and didn’t you see her limp in? She obviously fell outside. Give the girl a break. I’m willing to bet she leaves Cousin Zoe’s house early tomorrow. As for the Fleece Pajamas, they are almost as soft as I am. Maybe I’ll sleep on the same bed if she wears them tonight but don’t tell her that, ok? And what about the message we said we were going to leave Mother and Father? Aunty Guenny told me this morning when she was feeding us breakfast that they were going on a trip to see Uncle Scott get married and that we should leave messages every day so that they would know that we were doing ok and that we love them.
We miss you! but we also know that Aunty Guenny will take excellent care of us. Have fun on the boat!

Caturday!
It’s Caturday… the bestest day of the week! It’s filled with cuddles, naps, food, naps, playing, and maybe a little more napping! I stayed with Aunty Guenny last night and was rewarded with a really great snuggle before breakfast this morning. It sucked that she had to leave for the day, but she was back in time for dinner thank goodness. But Mom? Did you forget to tell her that the cushion on the left side of the couch is mine? Cuz she seemed to think it was hers after dinner and she wouldn’t give it up for the longest time! And she kept up with that black flashy toy of hers that scared me so much last night. She tells me that it will make you happy though, so I made some goofy faces for her. She let me snooze on My Cushion after that… it seems she can be trained after all. Can we keep her, Mom? Dad? Puhleeze?
It may be Caturday, but there’s no such thing as a day off around here… not when Chad is being such a slacker and he’s totally thowing himself at Aunty Guenny. I was beginning to think she was smart, Father, but seriously… she’s falling for his every weave around her ankles. Mind, she pets me as well (now that I let her). *And* she knows when I want her to stop, too. Zoe sure has her trained right! Speaking of Zoe, do you think we can invite her over one day? Until you decide, I’m going to take a nap. It’s hard being a model kitty.

Lazy Sunday
Aunty Guenny spent toooo much time watching chick flicks last night and kept us up until 4 am so we all enjoyed a little bit of a sleep-in this morning. And this afternoon. And this evening. How she managed to get up long enough to buy herself Nommages and coffee we’ll never know.
She was back in time to watch some guys in tight pants run in big back yards with white lines all across it. All she could do was complain about some guy called a Rookie QB winning in the playoffs and how if he won the Superbowl it would ruin him for the rest of his carreer. We don’t understand it, but if she’s that annoyed, we’re not gonna disagree… she’s the one that feeds us!
The only work we’ve had to do is keep Aunty Guenny cheered up: she’s not feeling well and has spent most of the day in the Fleece Pajamas she bought the other day. Chad and I took turns cuddling up with her this morning and that seemed to work!

I helped Uncle Gil do laundry by guarding the stairway. This way, nobody could steal his tee shirts from the dryer!
Chad continued to play Momma’s Boy and tried cooking lessons with Aunty Guenny. He was disappointed that she would only let him inspect the asparagus before telling him the best place for him would be on the kitchen floor.
We will make sure she gets to bed early tonight so she can go to Zoe’s house tomorrow and get some work done there. Then maybe she’ll stay with us for a couple of days in a row!
We miss you! Are you having fun, yet? Are there mice to chase on the boat? We want to know everything!
*yawn* *stretch* Time for another nap!

The Six-Headed Whistler
Today Aunty Guenny woke up before I did but that didn’t stop me from chasing her down the stairs to get my breakfast crunchies. She seemed a little bit groggy but that’s no surprise considering she took that NyQuil stuff (she was positively silly last night when she went to bed). What’s *in* that stuff? Whatever it was, it made her extra snuggly and I’m not sure I liked it. I might have overcompensated though: I knocked over one too many things and she spritzed water at me! I kept my distance for the rest of the day. Well, I did until Gravy Time… and nobody can resist my figure eights, right? To be on the safe side, I’m keeping a low profile. I’ll get my chance to do what real kittens do tomorrow when AG goes home to visit with Cousin Zoe. I miss Mom & Pop but they’ll be home soon! (But they won’t get here unless they call Guenny to tell her when their flight arrives!) Oops!
Oops? Oops? That’s an understatement, but I’m sure that Mother or Father will call. I spent a quiet day napping and when it came to dinner time I did a trick for Aunty: I stood on my hind legs for my dinner! It sure made her happy but she was bummed that she didn’t have her camera handy. She made up for lost time after dinner by taking pictures of me while I was turtling on top of the television. I thought I had foiled her plan but she said she got the best picture after I sat up. She’s saving that picture as a surprise for when you get home. And that’s soon, right?
*Note from Guenny: I was watching television when that stoopid $5 Footlong commercial came on and I whistled. Both kittehs looked up from their napping places and looked at me like I’d grown an additional 5 heads. What’s with that? Haven’t you ever whistled near them before? It made me laugh hysterically which freaked them out even more. I love these kittehs. I’ve snuggled them extra for you!

Cousin Zoe Comes to Visit
We are sooo telling on Aunty Guenny! Well, we think she was punished enough already so go easy on her, ok? It was a rough night for all of us.
AG chose today to go home and (finally!) steam clean her bedroom carpet. Seems that Zoe had a little accident in there and made the room impossibly stinky. Ew! You’d never let us get away with that… that’s why we have litter boxes! Anyways, we were expecting Uncle Gil to come over so he wouldn’t have to sleep on his couch or be overcome by toxic cleaner fumes. What we didn’t expect was for AG to return with Zoe! She was a little concerned about leaving the freshly washed carpet available for re-marking and felt that the door should be left open for quicker drying.
I know all other cats aren’t like Zoe, right Mom & Pop? She wasn’t very friendly…. she hissed at me! All I wanted to do was say hi, and she wouldn’t let me come near her
And you should have seen Genna: She took one look at Zoe and tripled in size!! Poof! If I weren’t scared of one attacking the other, it would’ve been downright funny. Aunty Guenny somehow managed to pick up the cranky cat and put her into the little bathroom. It sure did make sniffing a whole lot easier, let me tell you. Genna still wasn’t impressed and went to do other things. I sat outside the bathroom door and wailed talked to Zoe. AG opened the door once or twice to see if Zoe would talk to me, but I guess she wasn’t in the mood. She just hissed at me some more.
Shortly after dinner, while we were distracted by Gravy, AG moved Zoe to the basement. She made her a little litter box and moved ours out for the night! I guess she thought the bathroom was too small. I’m guessing Zoe wasn’t impressed because she started yowling and you could hear it all the way up to the bedroom! Sooooo pathetic, if you ask me! I went down to keep her company. It didn’t matter, though: No matter how much I wailed talk to her, she still didn’t like me much. Her loss!
I don’t have to tell you that Aunty Guenny will be waking up early to take her home…

Can We Keep Her?
I think I like her. A lot! Not only did she bring Zoe home today but she came back a little early and promised us an extra treat for tomorrow. I wonder what it will be? Maybe some Static Guard? We’ve all been sticking to the couch and making Bzzzap! noises when she pets us. Or even better *whisper* tuna in oil? ooooooooh! I would drool for that. Heck, I’d drool for a good pet. I should really get that under control. Genna says it’s gross and the girls won’t like me if I keep doing that. Something about social skills… bah! Who needs those? We’re HOUSE CATS. We stay in the House. Shows you how smart she is! Miss Prissy Perfect with her constant grooming and sitting up straight and sitting just so. She may have the softest fur in the house, but, but oooh! Housefly!
This morning I surprised Aunty Guenny by sitting on the window sill while waiting for her to wake up. She was still groggy when I jumped on the bed and did the flop & roll. I should have done it earlier, let me tell you. She was perfectly happy to pet me in all my favourite places until I was ready for breakfast. I even purred for her (I think she was shocked). Mr. Jealous Kitten sat on the floor and sulked. Wouldn’t even come up when AG patted the bed to invite him. He gets plenty of pets anyways. This was *my* time. Aunty Guenny was still in a good mood when she got home and she gave us some catnip. I don’t know what’s in that stuff Mother, but is it really legal? *yawn* Time for a nap. We have to get lots of sleep so we can play with you when you get home. AG says it’s only a couple of days away!!

AG’s Surprise Treat
Aunty Guenny was away for a long time today, that’s for sure. She left early again and didn’t come back until right before Gravy Time. She didn’t bring us Static Guard and it was just regular Gravy, not tuna in oil *sigh*. I wonder when she’s going to surprise us? She has the giggles something fierce so I know something’s up… wait a second. What’s that little red light on the floor? It keeps moving! Maybe if it comes my way I’ll take a swat at it, but it’s not worth it to get up and chase it.
That was fun! That light made Genna pretty crazy, let me tell you! She climbed walls for that thing! It wasn’t really my gig, tho. Maybe next time.
Not your thing? Let me get this straight. That was not you chasing that fool light in circle after circle until you were outta breath? That was not you sort of jumping against the wall in chase of the wily red circle of joy? *snicker* Just because you won’t jump as high as I do!
Aunty Guenny has started to pack up her stuff, Chad… I think she’s going home soon. I don’t know about you, but I’m gonna miss her. At least for a little while. I hope she doesn’t forget about us! Do you think she’ll come to visit? So long as she doesn’t try bringing Zoe back I guess that would be good fun.

Just Hanging Out
Aunty Guenny decided to stay with us today! She muttered somthing about cleaning up after herself but she did more opening of boxes than anything else. She got some really nifty paper that I wanted to timestamp but for some reason she shoed me off rather quickly. But then she opened the box I’d been sniffing at yesterday and Mom? I think she killed something – it was full of fur! It looked really kind of cozy… but such wierd colours! Bright purple, blue, green and a fiery red.
It wasn’t long before she stopped opening presents and didn’t clean started a new project that I really really wanted to help with. She took out some fuzzy stuff and some lunchboxes (without food!) and promptly set up on MY cushion. She clearly hasn’t learned. *sigh* Did you know she likes to play with string? She wouldn’t let me play with the string. She wouldn’t let me play with the shiny thing the put the string into, either. What’s that about? Anyways, I have no idea what she was doing but she said that you would like it. Guess we’ll all have to wait and see!
I didn’t do very much today but sleep. I have to save my energy for when Father comes home. I’ve missed him something fierce!! I think Aunty Guenny is a bit miffed at me but I swear I didn’t mean to wake her up at 7:30am after she went to bed (after playing with us) at 2am but I was chasing a fly and she was in my way! I only kinda jumped on her head. She could have gone back to sleep! But nooooo. Instead she took a nap mid-afternoon for almost 3 hours! And bonus, she didn’t kick me outta bed; she just took a pillow and went downstairs to the couch. Her friends say that she spoils me
I’m a princess!

Funny moment: I was sitting here on the couch uploading pictures I’d taken of Chad and Genna to Flickr when Chad ambled over and inspected the camera. He somehow managed to press the all-important button and scared himself when the flash popped up.
Adorable! Wish I could\’ve seen Chad spoooking himself. Zoe and I miss you!
